• Biography

  Second youngest of four siblings consisting of three sisters and a brother, Kaly is the only survivor of the three girl-children. The other two, her elders, met their fate at the hands of heroes. So far, she has been able to defeat all that have tried to vanquish her. Villagers and townies that know of her perceive her as completely evil and she does little to negate such assumptions.

  They began as a normal family in a highly religious town devoted to a Holy deity of an unknown name. The sisters were each born of differing and unsavoury circumstance, however their younger brother was born of a loving union. The townspeople think this had something to do with the sisters eventual 'fall' into the darkness.
  
  They were lured into a cave while foraging for mushrooms and wildberries by an unidentifiable spirit of the forest. There, the three of them were each given the gift of magic. The eldest, the ability to control flora and to communicate with fuana. The middle, the ability to utilize fire-based magic and to manipulate flame as well as to withstand it--she could survive living in a volcano that she once made her home. The youngest, Kaly, the ability to control shadows, to shape them into 'creatures' whom could do her bidding; she was also granted the ability to converse with living shadow people. The town, against magic of any kind, eventually discovered this--much to their mother's sorrow, they had to flee before they were killed. During this, they also wound up getting split apart.
  
  Kaly ended up getting adopted by a troll woman and lived with her from age eight to fourteen; weeks before her fifteenth birthday, a 'valiant knight' traveling through the woods slew her adoptive mother. Enraged, Kaly killed him and stole his horse, his weapon, packed some essentials and left to make a name for herself. She wound up dabbling in so-called darker magic, in particular necromancy, around this time, and with no guidance barring the books she managed to find and steal. Three months after her sixteenth birthday she had an accident with a ritual that left her temporarily dead. When she awoke, she had no pulse and found that she didn't require breath: she had killed and, somehow, brought herself back to life as a sentient zombie of sorts. To keep up a normal appearance instead of that of a rotting corpse she used magic to preserve her body--however, this has only slowed the process and it gradually stained her skin, eyes and hair purple. Her left arm, mid-forearm to mid-bicep has started to show signs of rot. Along with this, of course, is the stench of rotting flesh, which she tries to keep covered with a heavy cloud of perfumes.
  
  From age sixteen to twenty-five she has 'lived' life from village to city to village, usually taking up residence in run down buildings on the outside of city limits and fleeing once discovered. She has gained notoriety for killing several 'heroes' that have tried to destroy the Evil Witch on the Hill, to name a few other names she has gained. She has become proficient at her gifted craft as well as basic necromancy, and she knows a thing or two about herbs and poisons. She has a familiar, a miniature hydra she calls Terra that had accidentally been shrunk during an experiment to the size of a small dog; she summoned it while trying something out of desperation when she was twenty-one and used it to level a town that was hellbent on destroying her. Since then they've traveled together from place to place.
  
  One of the underlying key factors of her survival is that she still looks like 'just a girl'. She has learnt to use that to her advantage.
  
  Nowadays she travels in search of her sisters, but from the stories she has heard of 'the evil fire bitch' and 'that horrible forest woman' she holds little hope of finding them alive. Of course, this only gives her a new goal: to find the ones responsible for killing them.
  
  She cares little about her brother, however. She has, in essence, forgotten all about him and that little Holy town of her origin.
